Treatments for Eczema Caused By Food Allergies
What is it?
Eczema is a term for a skin inflammation that can be caused by many different things including allergies. The most common type is the form known as atopic dermatitis. It can affect people of any age and is fairly common in infants. If a child is born into a family with a history of asthma and respiratory illnesses they are more likely to develop it.
What are the Symptoms?
Eczema is generally characterized by dry itchy patches of skin. These can appear to be red in color and the skin can also appear to be a little thickened. One of the very first noticeable signs is the itchiness which is sometimes described as a burning sensation. Some of these patches can also begin to blister and ooze as well.
Common Causes
As mentioned above it can be brought on by allergies. In addition to an allergic reaction, it can also be brought on by stress. Some of the more common triggers are:
• Peanut Allergy
• Egg Allergy
• Soy Allergy
• Wheat Allergy
• Allergic reaction to dyes of perfumes in household products

Treatment solutions
While the obvious answer is to avoid whatever is triggering it, some of the other ways of treating and coping with it are as follows:
• Specialized Lotions
• Oatmeal Baths
• Topical Corticosteroids
• In some cases a Dr. might prescribe Oral Steroids
Conclusion
If you find that you are continually breaking out in an eczema type of rash it is recommended that you speak with your Doctor to find out what might be triggering it. While there is not a “cure” for it there are definately treatments available that can help you live more comfortably.
